Boatingbc.com was created after realizing that the recreational boating market
in BC was being underserviced on the internet. What websites do exist, are generally
run by a company promoting a product, and tend to be narrow in their focus.
Our idea is to bring as much information together in one place as a 'single stop shop'
for mariners, to provide impartial information, to be specific to our province and region,
and to cut down on the countless hours
spent searching the internet for information.
Also, we are introducing our Interactive Guides, an idea which we think makes the most
practical use of the internet, as an online resource for information sharing between boaters.
In addition to providing information on destinations, marinas, services and more, our guides also
allow YOU, the BC Boater, to contribute - by adding your reviews, opinions, or even publishing
your tips to share with your fellow boaters in the community.
The website is hosted by, and created by TTS Automation Inc., of Port Moody, BC, at no cost.
However, there are certain costs associated with hosting this site, so there is a small amount
of advertising space available to interested commercial parties. We will maintain this advertising
to a bare minimum to offset our direct costs only - this is not a profit making venture ! There will NEVER
be a subscription cost for this website, however, as this website represents potential access
to a market of 250,000 BC Boaters, we are hoping that commercial companies will support us
through the limited advertising we are making available on the site.
AND we are inviting EVERYONE to contribute to the site in any form that they feel
would benefit their fellow boaters ! Write a boat review, send in pictures,
provide maintenance or repair tips, introduce us to your favorite destination ! Nothing can
compare to getting different and varied opinions on the very subjective topic of recreational
boating in our beautiful BC waters.
The value of this website relies heavily on contributions from everyone...and we look
forward to hearing from you with your input and/or suggestions.
